Women's History Month Spotlight: ASÉ Wellness

In celebration of Women’s History Month, we are spotlighting Women-Owned Businesses! It’s our honor to introduce our first spotlight, Lauren Rayborn - founder of ASÉ Wellness

What made you want to pursue your field/career?

In 2018, I began my health and wellness journey, about 5 or 6 months after my youngest son was born. I suffered from severe PPD (Postpartum Depression) and PPA (Postpartum Anxiety) after having him, and was at a size I had never seen before. Through personal training, a healing coach and some of my own research, I have been able to regain power within my mind, body, and spirit.

Like some, 2020 allowed me to do some heavy reflection and also allowed me to sit in my stuff! Meaning the person in the mirror needed work! During the fall of 2020, my daughter was home sick for an entire week with strep throat. I began clearing the clutter in my home, and mentally. I became more consistent with meditation and journaling. I also did mirror work through post-it affirmations on my bathroom mirror.

It was a Thursday when I envisioned a brand that was uplifting, healing, and catered to women of all shapes and sizes, no matter what part of their journey brought them there. It was at that moment, I knew exactly what to do, and ASÉ Wellness was born!

ASÉ Wellness was created in order to encourage women to feel great about their bodies, focus and center their minds, feel confident in every space they enter, and tap into that divine inner goddess!

What advice would you give to your 20-something-year-old self?

If I could speak to my 20-something-year-old self I would tell her to be more patient with herself. I would tell her that she did not need to stress about societal pressures because it would come with time. I would tell her to trust her gut because it is almost always right. I would tell her to enjoy every moment but prioritize the things that are important. Finally, I would tell her that her past trauma will not determine her future and she will have peace within her dreams!

What do you feel is the best way you can empower other women?

The best way that I can empower women is by sharing my continuous healing journey in the most transparent way possible, in an effort to educate and provide tools that allow other women to heal. As women, we all hold power but we have to sit with ourselves and dig deeper within to bring that power to the surface. We have to quiet the outside noise, outside judgment, societal boxes, and simply embrace everything we have to offer.
